WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?

As a Carpenter, you will:

- Finish the framing (Back framing)

- Install windows and doors

- Install trim and doors

- Construct closet shelving

- Install engineered flooring

- Install floor tile, provided your skills allow

- Waterproof and install shower tiles, provided your skills allow

- Assist the Lead Carpenter with staircases and railings

- Supervise summer or casual staff

- Take direction given by the Lead Carpenter

- Set up scaffolding, as needed

- Record your daily accomplishments in CoConstruct

WHAT DOES THE IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESS?

- 2-3 years of experience as a Carpenter

- A Carpenter’s Certificate or certificate of Apprenticeship in Carpentry (preferred but not necessary)

- Knowledge of workplace safety

- A positive attitude and the ability to adapt

- Motivation and the desire to learn and improve every day

- Initiative-taking and problem-solving ability

- Good communication skills

- Must possess a valid Driver's License
